Altri Group is one of the 42 signatories of #act4natureportugal, an initiative by BCSD Portugal - Business Council for Sustainable Development, launched in 2020, which aims to encourage and mobilize companies to protect, promote and restore biodiversity and ecosystem services, contributing to stop and reverse its loss by 2030.
The #act4natureportugal signing ceremony took place during the Natural Capital Conference, organized by BCSD Portugal, an event in which the growing importance of biodiversity and natural capital at a global level was discussed, in addition to presenting case studies of what do some of the Portuguese companies that have joined this cause.
“For Altri, which uses the forest as its raw material, all the work being done by more and more companies in its preservation and conservation is extremely important. We have been doing this for a long time, having set ourselves the objective, within the scope of our 2030 Commitment, to double the area under natural conservation management, in addition to developing 13 biodiversity stations and biospots”, says Miguel Silveira, Altri Group administrator.
