• 2005

    Altri was incorporated in the first quarter of 2005 as a result of the restructuring process of Cofina through a spin-off of its industrial assets. 2005 was also highlighted by the acquisition of 95% of Celtejo, through a public offering. This operation was part of the company’s privatisation process. Total investment amounted to 38 million euros.

  • 2006

    The group invested 7.5 million euros in the acquisition of 50% of EDP Bioeléctrica, a strategic and high potential investment focused on biomass power production. Altri acquired 100% of Celbi from Stora Enso, a transaction amounting to approximately 430 million euros. Also in 2006, Altri acquired an additional 4.45% of the share capital of Celtejo, and now holds 99.45% of Celtejo.

    With the spin-off of Ramada Altri becomes a pure pulp and paper player

  • 2010

    In May 2010, the C09 project at Celbi was completed, whose objective was to increase the productive capacity of this industrial unit from 300 thousand to 550 thousand tonnes.

  • 2015

    In June 2015, the C15 project at Celbi was completed, which allowed its production capacity to increase to 760 thousand tonnes. Also in 2015, the project to convert Caima to Specialities fibers, namely Dissolving Cellulosic Fibers (DWP), was concluded, becoming the first industrial unit of the Altri Group to produce this type of fibers.

  • 2018

    In 2018, Altri acquired the entire share capital and voting rights of EDP Bioeléctrica. This acquisition made Altri the holder of all the share capital and voting rights of the Company, meanwhile renamed Bioelétrica da Foz. Also in 2018, the TP2018 project was completed, which includes a new recovery boiler, a new condensation turbine, a new WTP and a new WWTP.

  • 2019

    2019 was marked by the entry in operation of a new Biomass Power Plant in Figueira da Foz (Sociedade Bioelétrica do Mondego). The year stands out for its debut in the issue of Green Bonds, aiming to finance the investments of Sociedade Bioelétrica do Mondego, S.A., being the first Green Bonds issuance to be admitted to trading on Euronext Access Lisbon.

  • 2021

    In 2021, GreenVolt – Energias Renováveis SA was created, succeeding SBM SA as a company dedicated to the development of renewable energy from biomass, solar and wind, with its listing on the capital market Euronext Lisbon.
